1. Who we are

Levers is made and sold by Fore Studio, the trading name of Atta Ur Rehman Shah, sole trader. Buying, downloading or using Levers means you accept these terms. Payments, receipts and VAT are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record, whose own terms cover the transaction itself and who will appear on your card statement.

2. The license

One payment buys a permanent license to run Levers on the number of Macs you paid for: 1, 3 or 10. After checkout you receive one license key by email; paste it into Levers on each Mac and it activates. You can move a license from one Mac to another yourself, in Settings › License. The license does not expire, and it includes every future version of Levers at no extra cost. We switch off a key only when its purchase is refunded in full or charged back.

The license is yours; the software stays ours. You may not resell, redistribute or share license keys beyond the Macs you paid for, and you may not rebrand or rehost Levers as your own product.

3. Price and download

Launch prices are $5 for 1 Mac, $9 for 3 Macs, $29 for 10 Macs, in US dollars. After the launch, the regular price is $29 per Mac. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout, where any sales tax or VAT is added for your country. Anyone may download Levers; its switches and Recording Mode need a license key to turn things on. There is no free trial; the refund in section 4 is there if Levers is not for you.

4. Refunds

14 days from your purchase, as described in the refund policy.

5. Privacy

Levers works on your Mac and sends nothing about what you do anywhere. The privacy page is the complete statement.

6. What Levers changes on your Mac

Levers changes macOS settings when you tell it to: it hides and shows apps, the Dock, desktop icons and menu bar icons, switches Dark Mode, Night Shift and True Tone, changes the alert volume and the microphone, and runs your Focus shortcuts. To show or hide desktop icons through Finder it restarts Finder. Recording Mode keeps a note of each change and undoes it when it stops, or at the next launch if it was interrupted; a setting you changed yourself in the meantime is left as you set it. Hiding an app does not quit it or touch your work in it.

We test this carefully, but macOS can change between versions, and other apps can change the same settings. If something is not put back as you expect, set it in System Settings and tell us, and we will fix it.

7. Acceptable use

Use Levers for anything lawful. Do not probe, patch or wrap the app to get around the license.

8. What we promise, and what we do not

Levers is provided as it is. We work hard on it, but we do not warrant that it is free of defects or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at what you paid for the license, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

If these terms change, the change is posted here with a new effective date. Changes are not retroactive: the terms you bought under keep governing that purchase.

10. Trademarks

Mac, macOS, AirPods, Night Shift, True Tone and Siri are trademarks of Apple Inc. Levers is an independent app and is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Apple.

11. Contact

[email protected]. A person reads it.
