Sixty switches, one click each. Dark Mode, Night Shift, the desktop, the Dock.

01Switches

Change sixty Mac settings
with one click each.

46 switches and 14 actions, in the same tabs as the dropdown. Each changes something you would otherwise find in System Settings or do in Terminal.

Screen

What’s on your screen, and what isn’t.

  • Hide Desktop Icons

Clears the files, folders and widgets off your desktop.

  • Backdrop

Puts a color, gradient or picture behind the app in front, so nothing else shows.

  • Hide Other Apps

Hides every app except the one in front and the ones you keep, like your screen recorder.

  • Hide Dock

Hides the Dock until you move the pointer to it.

  • Hide Menu Bar

Hides the icons you choose, swaps the bar for a clean one, or hides the whole bar.

  • Pointer Spotlight

Dims the screen except a circle around the pointer, so viewers follow it. It shows in recordings and shares.

  • Pause Hot Corners

Stops the screen corners from starting things when the pointer reaches them.

  • Hide Idle Pointer

Hides the pointer when it hasn’t moved for a few seconds, and brings it back when it does.

  • Stage Manager

Keeps the app you’re using in the middle, and the others to the side.

  • Dock Position

Moves the Dock to the left, the bottom or the right of the screen.

  • Dock Magnification

The Dock’s icons grow under the pointer.

  • Clock Seconds

The menu bar clock shows seconds. Control Center restarts.

  • 24‑Hour Clock

The menu bar clock counts to 24 instead of using AM and PM. Control Center restarts.

  • Hide the Notch

Paints the top of your picture wallpaper black, so the notch disappears into the menu bar. Your wallpaper comes back when it’s off.

Display

How the screen looks: dark, warm, grey or calmer.

  • Dark Mode

Switches the whole Mac between light and dark.

  • Night Shift

    Warmer colors on the screen.

  • True Tone

Adjusts the screen’s colors to the light around you.

  • Grayscale

Takes the color out of the whole screen, so it’s easier to put down.

  • Reduce Transparency

Solid menus, sidebars and the Dock, in place of the see-through ones.

  • Increase Contrast

Darker outlines and stronger borders on windows, buttons and menus, so they stand out.

  • Reduce Motion

Fewer animations: windows and Spaces cut instead of sliding. Needs Full Disk Access.

Focus & Power

Quiet, awake, or easy on the battery.

  • Do Not Disturb

    Silences notifications with Focus.

  • Keep Awake

Stops the screen and the Mac from going to sleep.

  • Lock Keyboard

Holds every key back while you wipe the keyboard. Press Esc five times to unlock.

  • Low Power Mode

Saves energy, so the battery lasts longer and the fans stay quiet.

  • Cleaning Mode

A black screen that ignores the keyboard and clicks, so you can wipe both. Press Esc five times to finish.

Sound

Alert sounds and the microphone.

  • Mute Alert Sounds

Turns the alert and notification sounds down to nothing.

  • Mute Microphone

Mutes the microphone every app hears.

Connections

Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and your AirPods.

  • AirPods

Connects or disconnects your headphones, and shows their battery.

  • Wi‑Fi

    Turns Wi‑Fi on or off.

  • Bluetooth

Turns Bluetooth on or off. Bluetooth keyboards, mice and headphones stop working while it’s off.

System

The keyboard, the pointer and how apps behave.

  • Standard Function Keys

Makes F1, F2 and the rest work as standard function keys. Hold fn for brightness and volume.

  • Default Browser

Changes which browser opens links, without going to System Settings.

  • Hide Apps You Leave

Hides each app as you switch away from it, so only the one you’re using is on screen.

  • Ask Before Quit

⌘Q pressed once does nothing. Hold it for a second to quit, so a slip of the finger doesn’t close your work.

  • Quit on Last Window

Quits an app when you close its last window, instead of leaving it running with nothing to show.

  • Remap Caps Lock

Makes the Caps Lock key an Escape key, or a Hyper key: ⌃⌥⇧⌘ at once, for shortcuts nothing else uses.

  • Fast Key Repeat

Keys repeat sooner and faster when held, quicker than System Settings allows. Apps pick it up when they next open.

  • Reopen Windows at Login

Opens the apps and windows you had when you log in again.

  • Shake to Find Pointer

Shake the mouse or wiggle on the trackpad and the pointer grows for a moment, so you spot it.

Actions

Not on or off: one click, and it’s done.

  • Screen Saver

    Starts the screen saver now.

  • Clear Clipboard

Empties the clipboard, so nothing you copied can be pasted by accident.

  • Empty Trash

Deletes everything in the Trash for good. Levers asks first.

  • Eject All Disks

Ejects every external drive, disk image and memory card.

  • Sleep Displays

Turns the screens off. Your apps keep running.

  • Lock Screen

Locks your Mac, as with ⌃⌘Q.

  • Quit Other Apps

Quits every app except the one in front and the ones you keep. Levers asks first.

  • Restart Finder

Quits Finder and opens it again, for when it stops responding.

  • Restart Dock

Quits the Dock and opens it again, for when it stops responding.

  • Flush DNS Cache

Clears the list of website addresses your Mac remembers, for when a site won’t load.

  • Paste as Plain Text

Strips the formatting off what you copied and pastes it into the app in front.

  • Run a Shortcut

Runs a shortcut from the Shortcuts app.

  • Copy Window Title

Copies the title of the window in front and the name of its app.

  • Sort Desktop

Lines up the desktop’s icons by name, kind, date or size. Finder restarts.

Try it: click any card. Finder’s six have a section of their own below.

02Modes

Change many settings at once,
and put them all back after.

A mode is a set of switches for one job: a call, a talk, an hour of deep work. Start it with a click or a hotkey, or let it start by itself at a set time or when an app opens.

Make your own from any switches, in Settings.

12Questions

Good to know
before you buy.

Anything else? Email [email protected]. A person reads every message.

Using Levers

What does Recording Mode change?

Whatever you pick in Settings › Modes › Recording Mode: it can hide desktop icons, other apps, the Dock and your menu bar icons, put a backdrop behind the app in front, turn on Do Not Disturb, keep the Mac awake, mute alert sounds, switch Dark Mode, Night Shift or True Tone, and set the screen to a resolution made for recording.

Does it really put everything back?

Yes. Levers writes down how each thing was before it changes it, and undoes the changes in reverse when you stop. Only what it changed is touched: anything you changed back yourself in the meantime stays as you left it. If Levers quits or the Mac restarts while Recording Mode is on, the next launch puts everything back.

Does it start by itself?

Yes. When a call, a recorder or any other app starts capturing your screen, such as Zoom, Meet, Teams, Screen Studio or QuickTime, Recording Mode starts, and when the capture ends, everything goes back. A screenshot doesn’t start it. Started by hand, it stays on until you stop it. You can turn this off in Settings › Modes › Recording Mode.

How do I start it myself?

Click Start in the dropdown, ⌥-click the Levers icon in the menu bar, press ⌃⌥⌘R in any app, or ask Siri to “Start Recording Mode in Levers”. Recording Mode and every switch are also actions in the Shortcuts app.

Can I choose which switches the dropdown shows?

Yes. In Settings › Switches you put each switch on one of three shelves: On the Overview, In its tab, and Hidden. Drag a switch from one to another, or right-click it.

Your Mac and your data

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 15 Sequoia or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

What permissions does it ask for?

Only the ones a switch needs, and only when you first use it: Accessibility for the switches that watch keys or windows, such as hiding chosen menu bar icons, Lock Keyboard, Cleaning Mode and Ask Before Quit; permission to control System Events for the Dock and Dark Mode, and Finder to empty the Trash; Bluetooth for AirPods; and Location, only if a mode starts on a Wi‑Fi network, to read its name. Reduce Motion needs Full Disk Access. Do Not Disturb works through two shortcuts you add once, because macOS has no other way for an app to set Focus.

Does it collect any data?

No. There is no account and no analytics. Levers goes online only to check your license and for updates; the privacy page lists exactly what those send.

Buying

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep the license forever, with every future update included.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Download Levers and choose Try Free for 3 Days: every switch and every mode, with no account and no card. Buy it when you’re sure, and every purchase still has a 14-day refund.

How many Macs can I use it on?

As many as your plan covers: 1, 2 or 5. One key works on all of them, and you can move it from one Mac to another yourself in Settings › License.

Can I buy Levers with your other apps?

Yes. Fore Plus is $49 for Levers, Flit and Vitals, and Fore Insider is $99 for those and every app we release later. Each is one payment and one key, with every update, on one Mac for each app. For more Macs, raise the quantity at checkout.

I own an older Flit Lifetime. Do I get Levers?

Yes. A Flit Lifetime from before Flit’s one-Mac plans comes with Levers. Claim it at leversmac.com/flit with your Flit key.

Is there a student or teacher discount?

Yes, half price. Email us from your school or university email, or with a photo of your student or staff card, and a person replies with a one-use code for checkout.

Why is it so cheap?

These are launch prices. After the launch, Levers is $29 a Mac. What you pay now is what you pay, and your updates stay free.

I lost my license key.
